Designing iOS-native applications for clinical trials — translating complex healthcare workflows into clear, reliable experiences across mobile and tablet.
Designed a suite of clinical trial applications to support healthcare professionals in managing patient-facing and on-site workflows across phone and tablet.
Working closely with Apple's design team, the project focused on bringing greater clarity, structure, and usability to high-stakes clinical interactions — from data capture to workflow coordination.
A publicly available version of the product can be found below (note: the current release has evolved since the original design work).
A focused look at several core interaction surfaces — from structured data capture to multi-screen workflow coordination across clinical settings.
The Studies view gives site coordinators an immediate read on every active trial — enrollment progress, adverse event flags, and closeout status — all surfaced from a single card grid on tablet.
The Subjects list gives coordinators a scannable roster of trial participants — with usability status, flags for adverse events and database locks, and quick filtering — all within a familiar iOS list pattern.
